our souls move in close related circles

I have a strong belief that our souls move in life circles, reuniting with the same souls over and over again. This relatedness means that we are closer than we know to those we spend any length of time with. Look at the photo I found while going through old files.

This is a young Dondi on the right and our dear Flora on the left. The photo was taken one winter when Flora boarded with Dondi over a winter at Dondi’s home in Arkansas.

What an adorable photo of dear Flora. I hope she and “the girls” are all doing well. Claire

Carol, I so believe that, too. I also believe we learn something from everyone we meet….some people will teach us very little..but then…there are the others. So I am learning from you now, Carol…about the ways and needs of these beautiful giants…and I am learning about quiet dignity. Thank you for this beautiful photo…everything…and everyone…is connected….

A message from the past. After many years it seems photos take on new life and meaning. This is a great photo!

    Carol,
Would you say something about the cohabitation of Asian and African elephants, please. It’s my understanding that the mix of the two species can be dangerous… not even counting PTSD and personality differences.

Nothing about life in captivity is normal for elephants including mixing the two species. Of course the two species can be made to coexist, but Africans have been known to intimidate Asians with their large ivory.

I asked a biological kind of question, but the picture of Flora of TES with an elephant who knew Tarra is so deeply touching… and I mean to say that clearly here.
