India’s continued efforts to protect captive elephants

India continues to make elephant welfare a priority. Following the banning  of elephants from zoos and circuses, the Travacore Devasworm Board has severely restricted the practices of using elephants in temples and ceremonies. I am encouraged by this most recent action taken to protect India’s captive elephants.

This is really excellent news, Carol, thank you for sharing it with us. It is good to know that a country is doing what should be done to protect the elephants. I hope that all other countries will very soon follow their lead. I hope your birthday was a good one.
