August 3
Sitting at my desk, surrounded by the clutter of too many papers, on too small a surface, I froze. Time stood still as a strange feeling rise from my toes and landed in my heart. For a split second, everything was crystal clear.
You know that sensation. The one that makes you swear that you have “been there” before. You grab at the memory which dangles just out of your vision. The sense of two worlds hovering side by side is pleasantly overwhelming. As quickly as the sensation hits, it’s gone.
Personally, I take it as a good omen. It’s not surprising that this sensation hit as I was hand writing thank you notes to supporters. It was a memory hick-up; combining the magic of the past with the promise of the future.
